Membership Categories
Accredited Members
Consists of Members being not less than 20 years of age, who have been or are teachers of dance for 3 or more years and have made a successful application for accreditation.
Provisional Members
Members, no less than 18 years of age who have been teachers of dance for less than 3 years will be provisional members, unless automatic accreditation deemed is applicable by the Accreditation Committee.
Student Members
Consists of Members, not less than 16 years of age, and not more than 25 years of age who are actively training in dance teaching and in the process of qualifying for full accredited membership.
Affiliate Members
Consists of people who are actively involved or interested in the aims of the Association.
Honorary Members
May be elected at any time at the discretion of the Executive for such periods the Executive deems appropriate. Honorary Membership shall be conferred on such persons the Executive considers worthy of such distinction, being people who take an active interest in the objectives and activities of the Association.
Fellows
The Executive of the Association shall have the right to confer the status of Fellow on any of the Association whom the Executive hold in high esteem and considers worthy of such distinction. A member shall obtain such status on obtaining the votes of two-thirds of the Executive members present and voting. Fellows of the Association shall automatically be granted life members..
Life Members
Those who have been accredited members for 30 consecutive years may elect to pay 3 years subscription to become a Life Member. Fellows will automatically be granted Life Membership. Life Members are exempt from further membership payments.
